What is facial Gua Sha

While traditional Chinese use of gua sha does not only use the tool I sell here in the Yatlina store, it is an excellent way to introduce self-massage and manual lymph drainage to your daily routine.

Historically, any "scrapping" tool can be used to move the body's Qi (the life force) to treat any form of stagnation or heat stroke.

Directions for Gua Sha Use

The movements used in Gua Sha massage on the face encourage lymph node drainage and can appear to help with fine lines and general skin tone. This may be a temporary fix, but devotees have shown long-term results with time. It also helps with tension and muscle stiffness generally stored around the jaw and neck area.

What are the benefits of Gua Sha

    • It helps to tone skin muscles

    • Improves circulation and blood flow

    • It helps with lymph drainage.

    • Improves the texture of the skin

    • Regular use can help with puffiness and general skin tone and firmness.

    • A relaxing routine is a way to add time for self-care daily or when you need it.

What is a Yatlina Gua Sha made out of

The Yatlina Gua Sha is made of 100% natural white jade stone. It has a lovely weight and soft edges that are gentle on your skin when you slide it over the curves of your face and neck using your favourite oil. Because it is a natural stone, everyone you get will be slightly different, which is the beauty of natural products.

  • The soft rounded edges of the yatlina White Jade Gua Sha, if used as directed, are very safe and can be very relaxing and beneficial. Make sure not to tug on your skin or press it too hard when using it to avoid any skin damage or bruising.

  • Avoid use if you are taking medication for heart conditions or blood clots, and consult your doctor first. If you recently had botox or filler treatments, avoid use for two weeks.

*Please only use the Gua sha with oil; otherwise, it might tug too much on your skin.
