I am proud to say that I found a small family-owned farm which grows these plants organically, with sustainable practices. Highly prized and very difficult to find due to its rarity, the Blue Lotus absolute has an intriguing aroma.
It starts off quite intense with an almost waxy, almond-like smell, along with powerful, green floral notes.
As time passes, it becomes more mellow, and its sweetness emerges. You get notes almost like cherries mixed with lilacs.
How to use it
This is one of the most unusual and intriguing oils I have encountered. It has a long-lasting aroma that lingers for hours on the skin and weeks on a scent strip.
It can be used on its own or blended with lighter floral oils or grounding resins to create your unique perfume.

These are beautiful, dried blue lotus flowers. They are grown on a family farm without pesticides and according to organic and fair-trade traditions.
I like to soak one flower or a few petals in hot water and sip on it nightly to help relax me before going to bed or whenever I need to unwind and relax.
